Summary
Masonic apron. A rectangle of soft, cream coloured leather, edged in pale green binding on three sides. Binding folded over top edge to form waistband. Leather lined with cream cotton on reverse, below pale green silk. Under waistband hangs a triangular flap of leather and silk, edged in pale green binding. Flap decorated with pale green rosette with fabric covered button in centre. Same emblem is repeated in two lower corners of apron. Under flap, printed in pale green: RICHARD SPENCER / MANUFACTURER / 26 Ct QUEEN ST. / LONDON. Below flap at either side tarnished metal coils hang from pale green ribbon. Either side of waistband, elasticated pale green binding belt with three pronged buckle at one end. Green binding seam has rotted, no cotton lining and silk disintegrated. Button missing from lower right edge.
