Summary
Masonic apron of a 3rd degree Craft Master Freemason. A rectangle of soft, cream coloured leather, edged in pale green binding on three sides. Binding folded over top edge to form waistband. Leather lined with cream cotton on reverse, below pale green silk. Under waistband hangs a triangular flap of leather and silk, edged in pale green binding. Flap decorated with pale green rosette with fabric covered button in centre. Same emblem is repeated in two lower corners of apron. Under flap, printed in blue: George Kenning & Son / MANUFACTURERS / LITTLE BRITAIN /LONDON E.C. Below flap at either side tarnished metal coils hang from pale green ribbon. Either side of waistband, elasticated pale green adjustable belts joined with double headed snake metal symbol.
