Textile box 52. Crimson velvet ceremonial open fronted robe, front of skirt has scalloped edge extending to small train. Short sleeved, cuffs trimmed with metallic braid and white fur. Silk. Boning. Much decoration removed - evidence of position of braids around skirt and bodice. Hand written note attached, Countess of Straffords robes. BL78*.
