Summary
Textile Box 12. A valance, now in two pieces. Shaped and lined. Dark brown silk and cotton mix heavily brocaded in old gold, chestnut, pink, green and mauve. Jacquard pattern. Brown, green and beige fringed braid. Lined in fawn cotton. The room was painted with the valances up - have been hacked. BL115.1-2.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The Hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
