Summary
Four mould-pressed, covered, glass jars, three amethyst and one amber. English, late 19th Century. With octagonal bodies with swelling bases and domed lids with stepped ridges. Polished pontil marks on the flat bottoms. The amber jar has a paper label on the bottom inscribed 'MA 1 72'.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The Hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
