Summary
A croquet set in a wooden case. A pine case with iron handles, inscribed on the front 'F.H. Ayres Improved Club'. Contains five mallets (one broken), three balls, a smaller mallet and a booklet of the Rules of Croquet.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
