An upper, outer valance from the proper left (PL) of the State bed, reproduction crimson silk damask backing with original George Rex (George II) lions, roses, harps, fleur-de-lys, thistles, all with crowns applied.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940)
