Summary
A large mahogany upholstered settee, English, circa 1910. With a square back and sides on ten mahogany square section legs and castors. Upholstered in plain beige cotton lining. With a loose cover of coarse weave, light brown coloured linen. A sample of the original loose setee cover. Four cushions - two matching bolster cuschions and two matching square cushions in Dungannon Chamois fabric. Five cushions in 'arts and crafts' design fabric - Khiva, Fired Clay.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust in 1940 by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
