A mahogany weighing chair, English, late 19th century by Youngs of Bear Street, London. The seat with brass arms and the gilt brass scale with adjustable weight and a columnar stem bearing the stamp of the maker and with a set of brass weights above a carved geometric foliate frieze and twist turned legs. The seat upholstered in a green stamped wool velvet patterned fabric. Marked 'Youngs of Bear Street, London WC'.
