Summary
A mahogany pole screen, English, circa 1910. With an oval panel containing a piece of laid gold and silk thread floral embroidery in satin stitch and couched work on black silk, later mounted onto a black velvet ground worked with the legend 'A piece of the bed in which Anne Boleyn was born at Blickling 15.. Beheaded 19th May 1536.' The turned pole surmounted by a finial on a pedestal base with three out swept legs. Green silk lining on reverse.
