Pencil on paper, Philip Henry Kerr, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940) by Frances Amicia de Biden Footner (1874 - 1961), signed: Amicia de Biden Footner, circa 1930. A head-and-shoulders portrait facing, wearing jacket, shirt and tie, short hair with parting on his left. Philip Kerr succeeded his cousin in 1929; he died in Washington in 1940 while ambassador to the United States and bequeathed Blickling to the National Trust.
