Summary
Cache pot. John Rose and Co, Coalport, Shropshire, c.1810. Soft-paste porcelain. Painted in monochrome brown with scene of a classical temple on a gold vermiculated ground and Greek key pattern border at top and T border at base. Possibly painted in London at the studio of Thomas Baxter.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
