Summary
Toothpowder holder. Minton. Earthenware (ironstone). White, painted with green foliage rim, and crowned interlaced L's monogram for Lothian on body. One of a pair. Impressed 'BB' (Best Body) and 'New Stone' for Minton, Stoke-on-Trent, c. 1840-60. Probably made for the 8th Marquess of Lothian, who married in 1854.
