Summary
Centrepiece, from a dessert set. Staffordshire. 2nd quarter C19. Oval dish with 2 flattened pierced handles with gilt starbust in centre and gilt foliage rim, on an integral circular stand with gilt lines around base and stylised flowers. Marked on underside in gilt '498/7'.
Provenance
Part of the Lothian Collection. The hall and contents were bequeathed to the National Trust by Philip, 11th Marquess of Lothian (1882-1940).
