Summary
Pen and ink drawing by Simon Drew, featuring a caricature portrait of King George III and Queen Charlotte and a pig dressed as a maid. It bears the inscription: 'Chapter Three: In which the royal couple explore the corners of Cotehele. George III orders tea for Queen Charlotte but makes a faux pas (unwittingly)'. With the rhyme: "I say, do you know who I am?" / said the King in a bit of a jam / He'd stopped at Cotehele / for a drink and a meal, / and had asked for a small slice of ham.' and also: 'The Queen could often be blunt / when out on a stately home hunt. / "This house is so quaint / and in need of a paint / and I swear that I just heard a grunt."
