Summary
Tapestry fragment of two ovals enclosing a design of tulips, on red and green ground, with flowers and leaves in the lower roundel and one large flower in the top roundel. An ivory-coloured label records 'no. 16,1929'. This is a hanging with a hessian backing and a row of metal eyelets at one end. A linen label, stitched on back, records 'cleaned, slightly mended, remounted by Mrs M Symonds, 399 Oxford St, London W1 Feb 1929.' The fragment is lined with linen and there is a blue popper tape at the top edge.
