Summary
Wooden hatchment with a black background. Heraldic terminology describes this as follows: Gules three stars Argent between a chevron Azure and Or EVERITT, impaling Ermine 3 Fleur-de-lis Argent on a chevron Azure UNKNOWN. Crest - on a wreath Gules and Argent a griffin's head gorged 3 annulets Argent. Motto Festina Lente. In layman's terms this can be described as a heraldic device depicting the arms of Everitt on the left, consisting of three silver stars on a red background, two above and one below a blue and gold chevron. On the right hand side are arms belonging to an unknown family, consisting of a blue chevron with gold Fleur-de-lis on an ermine background (black ermine tails on white ground). It is surmounted by a red griffin's head with three silver rings around its neck, and which can be seen above a plain red and silver wreath. At the bottom is the motto 'Festina Lente'.
