Summary
Thirty one wood plaques of differing shapes and patterns. Loosely based on those high on Great Hall wall. Made between 1870 and 1900 for Rebecca Dering who probably intended them as decoration around the house. Collection includes two Fleur-de-lis, one in pieces; four shaped shields with Ferrers heraldry; thirteen cushion-shaped, of which five are decorated with capital letters, three with horses, one with a lion, two with Fleur-de-lis, one with a stylised flower and one with a white orb; two cinquefoils; three shields, one plain white, one with the Ferrers-Walker arms, one with the Roper arms (part missing); three crosses, one with five annulets, one with a crescent (broken) and one plain white; two crest horses; two crescents (rounded shields).
