Summary
A rosewood, simulated rosewood and painted work table, English, circa 1810-1820. The octagonal hinged top painted as faux marble with a central octagonal panel surrounded by sixteen ovals, above a rosewood frieze and pleated basket raised on a turned column with projecting angled scroll supports applied with roundels to each end-point and standing on concave-sided stretchers with giltwood paw feet to each corner, paper label to underside 'Marmion Edw'd Ferrers, Baddesley Clinton' below his coat of arms and motto SPLENDEO TRITUS.

Purchased by the National Trust in 1986.
