An oak chest, English, circa 1900. Constructed as a radiator cover using 17th century panels, the top fixed, the back removed, the triple panel front carved with the double-heart motif including hatched detail, the uprights and frieze carved with elongated scrolls, standing on stile feet.

The double heart motif is a characteristic feature of West Country carving and in particular Somerset.
