Summary
Print, coloured, Kingston Hall, now Kingston Lacy, Dorset (after John Preston Neale) by J. Smith. Home of the Bankes family. The print shows the house as it was in 1823, prior to the changes made by Charles Barry in the 1830s. From the mid 1800s the house became known as Kingston Lacy. Engraved by J. Smith after J.P. Neale 1823.
Provenance
Acquired by the National Trust in 1980 as part of the transfer of the estate, house and collection of Baddesley Clinton from Mr Ferrers-Walker.
