Acquired by the National Trust in 1980 as part of the transfer of the estate, house and collection of Baddesley Clinton from Mr Ferrers-Walker.
Marks and inscriptions
Naval Reserve. The ship in which Henry Ferrers Ferrers went out to Calcutta in as a middy 1861. The splendid clipper ship 'Renown' 1293 tons registered belonging to Messrs Green of Blackwell London. Capt. HIGHT at Calcutta on my 14th birthday 20 Jany 1862. Henry Ferrers Ferrers. (legend on back)
