Summary
6th Dragoon Guards - One of three framed ovals of regimental officers, by Orlando Norie (1832-1901), signed D.Norie. In carved oak frames with ribbon motif on top. . On the left hand side of each label are two dogs, and the right, three dogs. a. 6th Dragoon Guards, b. 9th Lancers, c. 2nd Dragoon Guards - identified by the number and letters depicted on saddle cloth.
Provenance
Acquired by the National Trust in 1980 as part of the transfer of the estate, house and collection of Baddesley Clinton from Mr Ferrers-Walker.

Verso: Ackerman's label on reverse of each painting, with the following 'R+A Ackermans established for the sale of sporting prints, drawings and paintings, 191 Regent St London'.
