Summary
A pair of steel ice skates; the thin metal blade strongly attached to the upper plates. On the top at the front is a heart-shaped plate with six holes for attachment to the boot. At the back is a heel-shaped plate with two screw holes. Marks on one side of the blade : MOUNT CHARLES PATTERN No 40, and on the other : MARSDEN BROTHERS / SHEFFIELD / 9½ ODEN.
