Summary
A large leather portmanteau with the bottom corners reinforced with leather patches. The top edges are protected with rectangular enclosed metal strips. There is a wide leather flap over the opening edge. A D-shaped handle is attached by a D-shaped loop to both sides of the top opening. There is a hole in the flap through which one handle passes and a leather flap protecting the heavy duty lock with a leather and buckle strap fastening. There are eight loops of leather on the sides and the bottom. Various labels are attached : 1 x GREAT WESTERN RAILWAY; 2 x . . . . .
