Summary
Print, engraving, The Artist (after Jean-Louis-Ernest Meissonier) by Paul-Adolphe Rajon (Dijon 1842/3 - Auvers-sur-Oise 1888). On opposite side of (NT32850.12), print showing the back view of a seated male in eighteenth century dress. Hair tied back with a black bow. He is copying a picture on an easel in front of him. In the background some paintings lean against a wall, on which has been scratched a man on horseback. Under the print, it reads: Peint par Meissonier. Gravé par P. A. Rojon / LE PEINTRE / Publié and Imprimé par Goupil and Cie Paris.
