Summary
Spanish polychrome terracotta man on a horse. Paper label reads; JOSE CUBERO, MALAGA / Deposito en Casa de los Sres, / DAUTEZ Y SALESSE, / CADIZ. With associated giltwood stand and glass dome. The stand is labelled; FROM / H. HETLEY, / 13 WIGMORE STREET, / London. William Gibbs decorated his llbrary with Spanish characters - this is possibly a muleteer or contrabandista (smuggler).
