Provenance: armorial bookplate of George William Blathwayt on front pastedown, with eagle and motto 'virtute et veritate' [likely = Col. George William Blathwayt (1797-1871)]. Binding: nineteenth-century half binding of marbled paper and green leather; simple gold tooled fillets to leather of upper and lower covers; mottled edges; simple gold tooling to spine; 'Phillips's Pomarium Britannicum' lettered in gold directly on spine.
