Provenance: second volume contains armorial bookplate of Wynter Thomas Blathwayt tipped in on front endpaper, with eagle and motto 'virtute et veritate' [= Rev. Wynter Thomas Blathwayt (1824-1909)]. Binding: bound to match 'Sinclair's Journey of Life' (NT 3260096); nineteenth-century purple leather over boards; gold tooled borders to upper and lower covers with Greek key pattern; gilt edges; gold tooling to spine; 'Sinclair's Business of Life', volume number and 'London 1848' lettered in gold directly on spine.
