Pencil notes on volume pastedown in Norman Norris's hand: Cat.I.9.c.ii.1 [and] Aldwick Manor 18 Aug 1941 £3.10 Provenance: (1) Gilt armorial centrepiece on front cover: [anonymous armorial with motto: In Deo Fidemus] (2) Bequeathed to the National Trust by Norman Norris (1917-1991). Binding: late nineteenth- or early twentieth-century red grained sheep over boards on five raised bands, double gilt fillet border roll and foliage corner-pieces on covers, gilt edges. Gilt spine title: History of Brighthelmston. Erredge. Ink stamp at foot of front free endpaper verso: Bound by W.C. Smith Brighton.
