1 vol. : ill. ; 25 cm. Imperfect: vol. 1 only. One of the books given to Wakefield Museum by Frank Green (1861-1954) in 1928; reacquired by the National Trust in 2024. Provenance: presentation inscription in ink on upper pastedown: "To Henry Brine Blunt Esq M.B. March 8th 1907. With the kind regards of the Editor, Chas. F. Forshaw". Later ownership inscription in ink on upper pastedown: "M'thias J Eggleston 1926". Ownership stamp in purple ink: "Museum: Mechanics Institute, Wood Street, Wakefield". Binding: Publisher's green cloth; gilt lettering on upper board.
Provenance
Part of a collection of books owned by Frank Green (1861-1954) who donated these to the Wakefield Museum in 1928. The collection was later transferred to Wakefield City Library in 1979. A selection of the books gifted to the National Trust for Treasurer’s House in 2024 by Wakefield Council.
