xiii, 292 p., 16 leaves of plates : ill. ; 23 cm. One of the books given to Wakefield Museum by Frank Green (1861-1954) in 1928; reacquired by the National Trust in 2024. Provenance: Twentieth-century bookplate on upper pastedown: "City of Wakefield Art Gallery and Museum, Reference Library", with black ink inscription: "Frank Green Library". Binding: Publisher's red cloth; gilt lettering on upper board and spine.

Provenance

Part of a collection of books owned by Frank Green (1861-1954) who donated these to the Wakefield Museum in 1928. The collection was later transferred to Wakefield City Library in 1979. A selection of the books gifted to the National Trust for Treasurer’s House in 2024 by Wakefield Council.
