Inserted between front pastedown and front flyleaf, two twentieth-century 11 cm poloroid photographs. One photo of two preschool-aged children sitting on a sofa holding drink beakers, with handwritten inscription on back in blue ink 'Feb 1981 with boni & Pugh [?]'. One of several kindergarten-aged children with party hats sitting at a table and eating, with handwritten inscription on front in blue ink: 'Oct 5 1982'. Provenance: three inscriptions on front flyleaf recto, in black ink: 'E. W. Stubbs. 1842', 'E. W. Stubbs donune dedit W. Whitmore Jones 1847', 'Elinor Whitmore Donune dedit Walter Whitmore'. Binding: diced calf (very worn) with gilt centrepiece on upper boards with gilt lettering. Double blind ruled spine.
