lxiv, 384 p., 5 leaves of plates :. ill. ;. 13 cm. Pencil markings on front pastedown and back flyleaf recto. Water stains on front flyleaf, frontispiece and title page. Provenance: in ink on title page: 'Mrs. Walker[?]'. In ink on page iii 'Eleanor'. Binding: publisher's dark green cloth over boards with blind decorative vertical lines and border, gilt heraldic device and lettering on upper boards, gilt decoration and lettering on spine. Yellow end papers.

Provenance

From the library of Alan Clutton-Brock (1904-1976), thence by descent to his daughter, Eleanor Clutton-Brock, the current vendor. Ownership by EC-B confirmed by the auction house.
