Wynter Thomas Blathwayt (1824-1909)] with circular belt design, motto 'Virtute et Veritate' and central eagle, tipped in over earlier bookplate; manuscript ownership inscription added to alter bookplate to 'W. E. Blathwayt, from Wynter Thomas Blathwayt, Apr. 10. 1880' [= Wynter Edward Blathwayt, (1859-1920)] Binding: nineteenth-century tan leather over boards; gilt triple fillet border on upper and lower covers; gold tooling to spine; gold tooled board edges; gilt edges; red leather spine label with 'Shakespeare' and volume number lettered in gold; brown leather spine label with volume details; comb-marbled endpapers.
