The second edition, corrected.. 6v.,plates ;. 12mo. Acquired by the National Trust with other former Dyrham books in April 2022. Damaged; pale yellow and white dust or mould (inactive) inside. Incomplete, volume 4 only. Provenance: manuscript inscription on front flyleaf 'W. Higgins'; and on title page 'Guild.r Wm. Higgins'. Binding: eighteenth-century dark brown sprinkled leather over boards; sewn on five raised bands; gold tooled double fillet border on upper and lower covers; blind tooling to board edges; marbled endpapers; gold-tooled diaper patterns of variable size on spine; red leather spine labels now missing, formerly with 'Brooks Natural History' and Vol IV tooled in gold.
