Second edition.. viii, 248p., plates. ill... 8vo. With insert: single leaf, blind-stamped: 'Drewsteignton Rectory, Exeter' and inscribed: 'with much love & best wishes from Walldon[?] & Eleanor December 14th 1937'. Provenance: Previously the property of Mary Drewe (1900-1985), elder daughter of Julius Drewe and Frances Richardson Drewe and removed from Castle Drogo in 1954 when Mary left to set up a nursery school in Exmouth. Bequeathed to the current owner by Mary Drewe, and gifted to the National Trust for Castle Drogo, 2024. Binding: Publisher's green cloth adhesive case-binding with blue lettering on spine and upper cover.
