Provenance: Inscribed in ink on upper flyleaf: 'Mary Drewe, in remembrance of her confirmation in Mayfield Parish Church, by the Lord Bishop of Chichester, on Thursday, May 6th 1920. 2 Timothy I.6'. Previously the property of Mary Drewe (1900-1985), elder daughter of Julius Drewe and Frances Richardson Drewe and removed from Castle Drogo in 1954 when Mary left to set up a nursery school in Exmouth. Bequeathed to the current owner by Mary Drewe, and gifted to the National Trust for Castle Drogo, 2024. Binding: Publisher's brown-purple cloth adhesive case-binding with gold lettering on upper cover within a blind-stamped panel; red stained edges.
