Binding: Twentieth-century full publisher's red cloth; triple gilt fillet to form an outer border on upper board; single gilt fillet to form an inner border with small decorative gilt stamped cornerpieces; gilt stamped centrepiece: 'JJR' [i.e. Jean-Jacques Rousseau] in decorative frame; gilt lettered upper board and spine.
