"The Master of the Temple - with the very kind regards of the author. Samuel Warren." [i.e. to Charles John Vaughan (1816-1897)]; also inscribed "Stamford, Weybridge" [i.e. William Grey, 9th Earl of Stamford (1850-1910)]. Binding: publisher's blind-embossed red cloth, gold lettered spine.
