Provenance: Twentieth-century armorial bookplate (coat of arms in carved oval frame) with motto ‘Si je puis’ and lettered: ‘Urban Huttleston Rogers Lord Fairhaven’ [i.e.: Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966)]. Pencil inscription on front free endpaper verso: "Fairhaven. / from / George + Dorothy Cambridge / Anglesey Abbey. / August 31st. 1952." [i.e. to Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966) from George Francis Hugh Cambridge, 2nd Marquess of Cambridge (1895-1981) and his wife, Dorothy Isabel Westenra, née Hastings (1899-1988)]. Binding: Twentieth-century full publisher's green cloth; gilt stamped publisher's device on upper board; gilt stamped title on spine.
