Provenance: nineteenth-century wreath, initials, and crest bookplate: F.G.W.; v.1 endpaper inscribed "G.F. White April 15, 1845 with best wishes from C.M." Binding: nineteenth-century brown calf, with gilt fillet border; on five false bands; gilt tooled spine; gilt lettered red & brown spine labels: Pearson on the Creed.
