Twentieth-century armorial bookplate (small variant), signed Badeley 1930: ‘Urban Huttleston Rogers Lord Fairhaven’ [i.e.: Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966)]. Binding: Late nineteenth- / early twentieth-century full red morocco; triple gilt fillet to form an outer border; sewn onto five recessed cords; two false bands; gilt fillets on spine; spine lettered direct (gilt tooled): 'Oliver (Stephen). The old English Squire. 1838'; single gilt fillet on board edges; double gilt fillet on turn-ins'; gilt top edge; crimson endpapers. Binder's stamp on front turn-in: 'Bound by Riviere & Son'. Original blue-grey printed paper wrappers retained.
