April 8. 1865'; pencil inscription on flyleaf in v.2: 'R W Blathwayt from G Mather'. Binding: Nineteenth-century tan calf over cushioned boards; gold tooled border on front and back; gold tooled board edges; gold tooling to spine; marbled endpapers and edges; green leather spine label with 'Homer's Iliad'; red leather spine label with 'Lord Derby' and volume number.
