King's death [William III]; dated 6th May 1837 [?]; 1 folded leaf; very faint. Provenance: inscribed "Anne Bristow"; printed book label: Ian Robertson. In the first vol. Robertson crossed through and label inscribed "Dear Rosalie Darling Lady Mander dd. [Ian] 30th Jun. 1970. Binding: nineteenth-century tree calf; recessed cords' double gilt fillets to spine; gilt on board edges; gold lettered red spine label. In box, bound in brown cloth, with portrait plate of Mrs. Opie on-lay. (The box is custom made for 2 vols., so the 3rd vol. wasn't part of the gift.) v.1 upper board nearly detached.
