Twentieth-century armorial bookplate (coat of arms in carved oval frame) with motto ‘Si je puis’ and lettered: ‘Urban Huttleston Rogers Lord Fairhaven’ [i.e.: Huttleston Rogers Broughton, 1st Lord Fairhaven (1896-1966)]. Binding: Twentieth-century full red morocco with cream morocco inlay on upper board; royal cipher in gilt on inlay on upper board; gilt-stamped centrepiece on lower board: publisher's device and date '1953'; pattern of gilt and black fillets (representing music staves), gilt and black crowns, and gilt and black initials 'ER' on boards; sewn onto six raised bands; gilt and black fillets on spine; gilt spine title; gilt edges. Publisher's gilt-stamp on front pastedown: 'The Oxford University Press'. Binder's gilt-stamps on rear pastedown: 'Designed by Lynton Lamb' and 'Bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe'. In blue cloth-covered box with blue velvet lining.
