[i.e.: to Margaret Lushington (d. 1906), before her marriage to Stephen Massingberd (1869-1925)]. Binding: Nineteenth-century arts and crafts binding in full red morocco; cornerpieces made up a repeating star tools, a broken frame of gilt rules with elegant floral tools and a seme of stars; sewn onto five raised supports; spine gilt, the panels tooled with a floral tool surrounded by tiny pin tools; direct lettered in gilt: VIR* / GINI/ BUS* / PUER IS** / QUE*/ R.L.S. / 1881; the rear inner doublure signed: S.T.P. 1895 [i.e.: Sarah Treverbian Priseaux (1853-1933)]; edges gilt and gauffered.
