With occasional pencil markings in the margins and underlining of text, usually a sign that William Windham III has read the book. Former Felbrigg shelfmark in pencil: L6 (crossed-out). Binding: early nineteenth-century full Russia leather, dyed brown; sewn onto five recessed cords; smooth spine; faint grain pattern of latticed lines on covers; single gilt fillet border with small annulet cornerpiece stamps; single gilt fillet along board edges and turn-ins; blind- and gold-tooled spine; gilt title, vol. number and place/date of imprint lettered directly onto spine; shell pattern marbled endpapers and textblock edges.
