Provenance: "1551" written in red crayon or pencil on verso of front free endpaper and upside down on recto of rear free endpaper. Manuscript inscription on title page, either very faded or washed out. Errata corrected in manuscript throughout. Binding: seventeenth-century quarter-bound brown sheepskin over boards with eighteenth-century[?] repaired[?] dark red goatskin spine; sewn on five supports; five raised bands on spine; single blind fillet border; gold-tooled spine; gilt title 'Victor Fausti' and imprint 'Aldus 1551' on green gotskin labels on spine; light blue Turkish pattern marbled endpapers.
