Provenance: Inscribed on pastedown "From General Andreossy to Lord Castlereagh" [i.e. presented by the author to Robert Stewart (1769-1822), Viscount Castlereagh and 2nd Marquess of Londonderry from 1821]. Binding: Nineteenth-century full mottled calf, single gilt fillet forming a border. Sewn on recessed cords. Gilt tooling on spine, black leather spine label lettered in gilt "Canal du Midi". Edges stained yellow. With a pale blue reading ribbon.
